Note: Learner scores will appear in your Blackboard grade section once a learner clicks “Finish” in the last lesson of your Versal course.

Step 1:
An Admin in the Blackboard system must add Versal as an external tool provider.
Note: This step is not necessary if the Global Properties for LTI Providers is set to "Allow links to any tool provider that isn't explicitly excluded.”
Click “System Admin” to access the Administrator Panel.
Click “Building Blocks”
Click “LTI Tool Providers”
Click “Register Provider Domain”
Fill out these fields with the following information (picture below):
- Provider Domain: versal.com
- Provider Domain Status: Approved
- Default Configuration: Set globally
- Tool Provider Key and Shared Secret: if you have not received this information from Versal yet please contact us here.
- Send user data: Send user data only over SSL
- User Fields to Send: Name and Email Address
- Click Submit after adding the required information
The Admin will now see Versal in the External Tool Provider List
Step 2:
At the course level, add Versal materials via Web Link.
Click on the Blackboard course to which you are adding the Versal content.
Click on “Content”
Under “Build Content”, choose “Web Link”
Fill out these fields with the following information (picture below):
- A title of your choosing
- URL: Your Versal LTI link found on the sharing tab of your course management page
- Click the checkbox that reads “This link is a Tool Provider”
- Enable Evaluation: Yes
- Choose points possible for the evaluation
- Open in a New Window: No (unless you want the course opened in a new tab outside of the Blackboard environment)
Click submit
The Versal course is now listed in the Content area of the Blackboard course
Click on the link to access the Versal content via LTI
